Understanding Attachment Styles With Breakup Coach Nancy [video]

If you’ve taken Psych 101 in college, then you’ve probably had a unit somewhere in there that talked about the science of attachment. You know, the study of cloth monkeys. While developed in early childhood, it ultimately serves as a framework for how we attract and keep partners today.

You’ve stumbled upon this article as you’re curious about these three styles and how they might affect how you move through relationships.

Here’s a video I made that addresses the following:

  • the three types of attachment styles

  • how you can improve your relationship based on the “anxious” attachment style

  • why you might be feeling hot-and-cold vibes from your partner

  • why you might feel insecure in your (past) relationship(s)

Please know, this is an interpretation of my understanding of attachment styles based on the book Attached: The New Science of Adult Attachment and How it Can Help You Find—And keep—Love. All credit goes to the authors.

Here’s my video - be sure to leave a comment and let me know what resonates most with you. Does this help to explain why you’re feeling the way you do in your current/past relationship?
